How I got started

My husband bought bikes for both of us five years ago. He taught me how to ride on a Honda 150. I am now on a Honda Crf 250r.

Goals for the Future

I am planning to ride in the men’s 30+ B and next year the +35 open class to become a faster and better rider.

What inspires you to compete?

I drive myself to compete. Life is too short not to try as hard as I can at a sport I love. It’s the best rush I’ve had at the starting line and at the finish line. Competing pushes me to try hard in riding and in life. Just get up every day and do something most people will never try to do.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

My most embarrassing moment was when I first got on a bike. I knew how it worked but I forgot how to stop . I went down on my butt in the mud because I gave it gas and not brakes.

Some Personal Information About Me:

I am married with two kids. My daughter is 16 years old and she also just started racing. My son is 6 years old. He just got his first bike when he was 3.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

Yes I train as much as I can. In Illinois you have some down time due to snow and cold weather. So I workout at the gym 5 days a week to keep in shape. During race season, every weekend I am racing somewhere or practicing.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Even though I am 34 years old I do not see myself done growing up yet. So when I grow up I want to be the oldest motocross woman racer ever.
